Paradise Found – Artist Statement –  Shona Wilson  2008

 

The title of this exhibition, “Paradise Found”, is an inversion of the more commonly used term, “Paradise Lost”. It is with this positive invocation, that this series of work, gathered from nature, alludes to the finding of ‘little pieces of paradise’, gardens of earthly delight, or indeed ‘heaven on earth’.
