Artist Biography | Madeleine Hayes

Madeleine was born in 1983 and spent her childhood in St Albans, a small village 100km North-West of Sydney. Madeleine is a qualified chef and was part of the team that represented Australia internationally. Having worked in some of Sydney’s best restaurants, she embarked upon a return to her love of making art. Madeleine has recently graduated from the National Art School and will be completing Honours in 2010. This body of work is a personal journey through memory and dreamscape, culminating in tender and simple images made out of clay.
