King Street Gallery was established in 1984 at its original premises in Newtown, Sydney. King Street Gallery exhibits paintings, works on paper, limited edition prints, sculpture, mixed media and installations. The gallery's focus is on emerging and mid-career Australian artists, who exhibit on a regular basis. However, we maintain an interest in exhibiting international artists and inviting guest curators for project exhibitions.

In 1990, King Street Gallery opened additional premises in Darlinghurst, Sydney. The Darlinghurst premises represent our regular stable of artists, who exhibit on average once every 18-22 months. Additionally, these artists participate in group exhibitions throughout Australia and overseas; and are invited to hang their works in numerous visual art competitions. King Street Gallery in Newtown houses artworks by gallery artists, featuring large scale pieces.

Our new premises situated on ground level, Grenville House, 177 William St, Darlinghurst offers a showroom gallery, renovated Art Deco style building with full stockroom facilities on level 1. Our new name is King Street Gallery on William and our opening hours are 10 - 6 Tues - Sat. All phone number email and website remail the same.
